This band seal adaptor coupling is used to connect pipes with substantially different outside diameters, specifically from 170–192mm to 121–136mm. Its step-moulded construction is designed to create a secure seal when adapting between pipe sizes or materials, such as linking clay piping to ribbed or plastic systems.
On site, it is fitted using two supplied stainless steel tension bands, which provide even clamping pressure across the joint. This adaptor is commonly needed during installation or repairs of drainage runs, connections to manholes or inspection chambers, and when integrating lateral connections or updating ageing networks.
