This 50mm ablative coated batt is a mineral wool insulation board, pre-coated on both sides to assist with sealing penetrations. Supplied in 1200 x 600mm sheets, it is designed for use in a range of fire protection and acoustic applications where services pass through walls and floors.
Installers typically fit these batts into wall or floor openings to reinstate the integrity of the construction around pipes, cables, or ducts. Suitable for solid and flexible walls, multi-service penetrations, and large framed voids, it can be cut to size and friction fitted or face-fixed as required on site.
