This galvanised steel box lintel is made for use in solid wall construction, supporting structural openings such as doorways and windows in both internal and external walls up to 215mm wide. The 2700mm length allows it to be installed across wider spans without the need for joining multiple lintels.
On site, the lintel is bedded on mortar and requires a minimum 150mm end bearing on each side of the opening to ensure stability. Perforations along the section provide a key for plaster or render, assisting with a straightforward finish as the build progresses.
