This galvanised steel box lintel is used to support structural openings in solid masonry walls, particularly where a 100 mm wall width is required. With a length of 2400 mm and a height of 150 mm, it is suitable for spanning doorways, windows, and similar apertures within single-leaf or solid wall applications.
On site, the lintel is bedded on mortar with a minimum 150 mm end bearing at each side of the opening. Masonry above should be built on a level bed with all joints fully filled. Care should be taken during installation, especially if the lintel is used in areas with concrete floors or other heavy elements, to avoid shock loading and ensure proper structural distribution.
