This solid lightweight masonry block is made from a blend of lightweight aggregates and cement, with a dry density of 850kg/m3 and a compressive strength of 3.6N/mm². It is typically used in internal partition walls, as well as infill and both inner and outer leaves of cavity wall construction on site, where a balance between ease of handling and adequate strength is required.
The unit’s 440mm x 215mm face and 100mm thickness align with standard blockwork dimensions for straightforward installation and consistent coursing. The textured grey surface is designed to provide good adhesion for plaster, render, or drylining finishes, assisting with a high-quality end result. Its low weight makes it practical for repetitive manual lifting and easier cutting or chasing for service runs during installation.
