This is a brown linseed oil-based putty supplied in a 1kg pack, designed for glazing single glass panes into timber or metal window frames. The formulation includes an added plasticiser, making it easier to handle and apply compared to traditional putties.
On site, it is commonly used for bedding and face-puttying single glazing where metal, softwood, or hardwood frames are present. The putty should be thoroughly mixed before use to ensure an even consistency, and care should be taken not to overpaint until a skin has formed. Not suitable for use with plastic frames, double glazing, heat-absorbing glass, or timber treated with microporous stains.
