This self-adhesive flashing tape from Sika is designed for use as an alternative to traditional lead flashings. The product consists of an aluminium foil faced with a bitumen rubber adhesive, supplied in a 3 metre roll with a width of 225mm, and finished in black to blend with a variety of roofing materials.
Typically used for weatherproofing detail areas on roofs, this tape is suitable for sealing around chimneys, rooflights, roof joints, and upstands. Its self-adhesive backing allows it to be pressed into place by hand, providing a watertight seal in a range of repair or new build applications where effective flashbanding is required on site.
