This black bitumen trowel mastic is a heavily filled, fibre-reinforced compound intended for waterproofing, sealing, and general repair tasks. Supplied in a 2.5 litre tub, it can be applied by trowel to surfaces including mastic asphalt, roofing felt, corrugated and cast iron, fibre cement, slates, lead, copper, zinc, concrete, and timber.
Common applications include filling holes or cracks in roofing materials, bedding and bonding joints, and repairing guttering and downpipes. The mastic forms a surface skin while staying soft beneath, allowing for moderate movement without losing adhesion or compromising the seal.
