This cavity fire barrier is a semi-rigid mineral wool sock supplied in a 1.2 metre length, fully encapsulated in a recycled polythene sleeve. Used to close voids at wall and floor junctions, it helps prevent fire and smoke from passing through the cavity while supporting other construction requirements.
Suitable for use in masonry, block, brick timber frame, and steel cavity wall applications, it fits cavity widths from 20mm up to 300mm. Commonly installed at party walls, wall plates, and openings, it allows for straightforward fitting across new build and refurbishment projects.
